Job Summary:
CoxHealth will provide free tuition to students who plan on attending the OTC Certified Nurse Assistant Program. Participants must commit to working for CoxHealth for one year, in a Medical-Surgical unit hired to following the completion of their education program. While completing the program, all apprentices will practice performing duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties as assigned and therefore must be willing to practice as a student. If unable to participate, employee may be removed from program. This program does not guarantee a Certified Nurse Assistant position within CoxHealth. Those chosen for the sponsorship must still apply for Certified Nurse Assistant positions and interview with those units.

Education
Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
No prior experience required
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exhibits valuable time management skills.
Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
BLS must be obtained within 90 days
