Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property and Technology
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is seeking a Senior Counsel of Intellectual Property and Technology to play a key role in developing and executing IP and technology strategies.
Skills
- JD degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 10 years experience in intellectual property and licensing
- Experience in STEM and/or Artificial Intelligence
- Data privacy expertise
- Strong drafting and communication skills
- Experience negotiating with universities and research institutes
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology transactions, licensing, and collaboration agreements
- Develop IP-related policies and maintain execution of IP strategies
- Manage trademark portfolio and filing strategy
- Provide legal support on IP and technology matters to CZ Science leaders
- Support open source and data privacy compliance programs
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Education
- JD degree
- STEM degree preferred
