Title: Chassis Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 4-12 months
Responsibilities
- Responsible for integration of Braking & Steering systems from concept to production.
- Create, maintain and validate technical specifications for Chassis control systems (EPAS, ESP incl EPB, Air suspension & damper control)
- Responsible for Chassis ECU software, and electronics requirements definition
- Create, manage and lead SW development plan, test cases, validation plan, bug fix, and releases.
- Lead technical discussions with suppliers and cross functional teams
- Design, analyze, develop, and release chassis ECUs, sensors, and brackets inline with design requirements.
- Ensure component and system meet requirements in line with FMVSS, ECE, CCC
- Manage and lead suppliers to meet all program milestone’s deliverables
- Liaise with attribute & stakeholder teams such as Vehicle dynamics, EE, ADAS, calibration and tuning support, manufacturing & assembly & SW tool development
- Knowledge of ADAS L2/+ features, such as Highway pilot, Fully automated parking, Remote parking, and understanding on how to validate integrated systems.
- Fault finding, SW debugging, and network integration support.
- Test and validation of chassis systems in-line with associated systems DVP & System requirements.
- Understanding of how to comply with ISO26262 in terms of system validation.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of Chassis control SW and ECU.
- Experience with vehicle calibration and vehicle dynamics tuning.
- Proficiency with Vector toolset (CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, vFlash) incl associated hardware
- Knowledge of ASPICE, MATLAB, C+/++, SIMULINK advantageous
- Knowledge of SW test case creation and validation.
- Knowledge of software integration, software release baselines, diagnostics (ODBII) requirements, CAN messages/signal definition.
- Strong familiarity with electronic component test validation and certifications.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and FuSa for and how to conform with the standard.
- Knowledge of system hardware validation methods ; HiL, SiL, EMC testing, Shock testing etc.
- Knowledge of ESP & EPAS test and validation procedures in providing grounds
- Excellent car control, and evaluation capabilities.
