WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a(n) Chemical Operator to join our growing team.

Purpose

The Chemical Operator reports to the Logistics Warehouse Supervisor at the Wacker Silicone plant located in Adrian, MI. The Logistics Operator is responsible for operations within the warehouse and must be able to perform all duties required of warehouse operators, with and without multiple types of powered industrial tricks (PIT).

Job Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks with industrial powered equipment
• Picking and staging materials from all areas serviced by the Logistics department as required by the customer order
• Delivery and movement of materials to required locations within the Logistics area of responsibility
• Maintaining housekeeping

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Drive and operate a fork truck, switch tractor, and torrent truck
• Must be able to read and follow printed instructions
• Follow and adhere to safety policies and procedures

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Exposed to handling chemicals and working outside
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
• Constant bending and turning
• Must be able to work a 40 hour work week with up to 12 hours per day
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day
