We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer who is highly strategic and embodies the spirit of creativity, innovation and collaboration. As the architect behind our global marketing strategy, the CMO will have the opportunity to redefine the landscape of sound and position our brand as the unrivaled authority in delivering extraordinary auditory experiences.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO will play a pivotal role in establishing the Sonos brand as the ultimate authority in exceptional sound, making ‘sound’ synonymous with ‘Sonos’. The CMO will move our brand deeper into culture through bold storytelling, collaborations and development of our community by crafting captivating stories, fostering exciting collaborations and increasing our community of passion enthusiasts.
The CMO will build our brand, find ways to reach new audiences and take Sonos from 14M homes to over 100M+ customers. The CMO will collaborate closely with our Chief Product Officer to build a roadmap that reaches more of the available audience and ensures that all customers are captivated and delighted by our products and services.
The ideal candidate has brand and performance marketing experience leading global marketing at premium consumer product companies.

This role can be done from home
Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done from anywhere in the United States- any of our offices, or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:
$315,000 and $350,000
