Our culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

The Opportunity:

As the Chief of Staff to the Chief Information Security Officer at Datadog, you'll work directly for the CISO and work closely with the Security leadership team to help them grow, scale, and run the business more effectively. In this role, you will help manage the Security and IT organization through the following primary functions: Strategic Planning, Execution management, Business Insights and Analytics, and Communications.

You will define and execute the rhythm of the Security and IT organization in partnership with the CISO; including meeting cadence, off-sites, and all-hands. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and manage resourcing plans, enabling our team and our partner organizations to execute on our delivery promises with integrity and proper accountability. You will be empowered to make optimization and strategic recommendations to help scale the organization and its functions. Finally, you'll serve as a Program Manager for key projects, driving both the strategic vision and project execution forward. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence.

You Will:

  • Provide the CISO with insightful data-driven strategic recommendations. Communicate findings from initiatives to management and the broader organization.
  • Partner closely with all internal and external stakeholders involved in any of the ongoing and future programs.
  • Provide recommendations on how to grow and organize the teams as the company scales
  • Own the headcount planning and approval process.
  • Use cross-functional knowledge and seek to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence the business.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and/or discrete projects
  • Own any and all ‘state of security’ communications
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the CISO and act as a representative when required.

You Are:

  • Proven track record of building strategic plans and managing large scale programs.
  • Experience and desire to own major initiatives end-to-end.
  • You don't ask for permission - you make it happen.
  • Problem Solver - you've solved ambiguous problems by applying frameworks to get to the first principles, aligning resources on the goal, executing, learning, and adapting.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Proven experience working with C-suite
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in SaaS or product company
  • Start-up experience is a plus.

Why You Should Apply:

  • Generous and competitive global and US benefits
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Product training to develop an in-depth understanding of our product and space
