Child Care Aide

JOB SUMMARY

• To assist teaching staff in implementation of activity planning and provide a safe, secure environment for children six weeks to fourteen years of age. To ensure that interactions with children support their self-esteem and promote their growth and development. To make learning a fun process that allows and encourages children to explore their full potentials. To communicate effectively and with respect with parents and team members. To support parents in achieving their parenting goals.

Experience REQUIRED:

• Previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age (paid or unpaid)

Education/training REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED:

• Minimum of 24 hours of coursework in early childhood education or related field (i.e. Child Psychology, Children’s Literature)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
