Summary:
Manages and executes against key Joint Pediatric Enterprise (JPE) financial, operational, and management processes, including managing the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and other contracts as a part of the academic and clinical funds flow between Children's Health and external institution(s), supporting JPE governing board logistics, and leading special projects as needed. Key responsibilities include managing a small team as assigned to complete key functions, serving as the primary contact for internal and external funds flow and MSA requests, structuring analyses and/or facilitating workgroups to refine and / or communicate updates to funds flow arrangements, supporting JPE Board of Directors, and managing other operational deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Manages and executes process for updates and amendments to funds flow arrangements (including annual process and/or mid-year amendments as needed):
• Coordinates and oversees process to confirm services, update Children's Health costs annually, and review / vet external partner updates.
• Serves as primary Children's Health contact for funds flow-related requests; ensures operational alignment from key stakeholders and recommends / secures approval for financial model mechanics as needed.
• Executes initial and ongoing QA and impact analyses on the funds flow financial models.
• Proposes / drafts new approaches and SOWs for adjusting existing model frameworks or addressing new organizational needs in the funds flow.
• Advances financial and operational transparency related to the funds flow via collaborations with external institutional stakeholders (e.g., proposing and executing adjustments to the financial model, instituting monthly variance reviews, etc.).
• Collaborates on a regular basis with stakeholders and leadership across Children's Health and its partner institutions.
• Supports leadership in understanding the financial impacts of certain proposals.
• Tracks the execution of various funding commitments (e.g., physician recruitment, research funding) in collaboration with Children's Health and partner finance teams.
• Collaborates with finance to track quarterly / annual funds flow budgets; supports communication of funds flow updates and financial implications for Children's Health senior leadership and other stakeholders as needed.
• Collaborates with leadership to manage and maintain other related contracts and financial relationships that may be a part of the scope of the academic and clincial funds flow.
• Supports JPE Board, including:
• Coordinates with JPE leadership to manage and finalize JPE Board agendas
• Oversees board prep processes to ensure successful board meetings (e.g., coordinates with support teams to manage on-going and ad-hoc meeting attendees and system access, secures approval on and executes against standard timelines and processes for material refinement and socialization, manages process to finalize and load materials into system for individual board meetings).
• Supports special projects as needed
WORK EXPERIENCE
• At least 7 years' experience in a professional or office environment requiring data analytics and interpretation Required
• At least 2 years' experience working in a healthcare provider or health plan setting Preferred
EDUCATION
• Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
• Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred
