Proactively supports efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience• 2 years of experience in public relations or customer servicePreferred Qualifications• Commercial driver's licenseEducation• High school diploma or equivalentCertification Summary• Valid Georgia driver’s licenseKnowledge, Skills and Abilities• Ability to apply sound judgment and confidentiality in handling patient health information• Ability to speak, read, write, and follow written and oral instructions• Ability to function independently of constant supervision• Organization and time management skills• Strong human relations and teamwork skills• Personal motivation• Safe driving procedures• Excellent communication skillsJob Responsibilities• Operates/drives Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta vehicles in a safe and customer-friendly manner.• Carries out responsibilities of the position as outlined by Security or Parking and Transportation Coordinators.• Documents activities for department records.• Demonstrates knowledge of current policies, procedures, and Department of Transportation regulations.• Reports any unusual events to security control center or Security Supervisor.• Remains up-to-date on current security, transportation, and professional issues through reading and self-study.• Ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of assigned vehicles.• Conducts scheduled safety inspections.• Provides excellent service routinely in interactions with all customers, including coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, and volunteers.• Maintains professional appearance.• Assists patients, visitors, and staff with transportation needs.• Ensures valet parking for board members, VIPs, patients, and others as needed and directed.• Provides directions and assistance to visitors.• Assists motorists with vehicle trouble.Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic covered by applicable law.Primary Location Address1001 Johnson Ferry RdJob FamilySecurity
