Provides bioinformatics leadership, analysis and software development support to enable interpretation of molecular and genomic data for research projects. Works with the Director of Biostatistics and Epidemiology Core to design and develop analytical solutions that integrate with and augment existing informatics capability within the research institute. Works directly with individuals to define computational strategies and assist with experimental design and hypothesis generation for molecular and genomic studies. Performs in-depth analysis for research projects. Assists with personnel management as needed with a focus on leading efforts within a defined research project. Educates the research community on bioinformatic analysis and concepts. Contributes to manuscripts and abstracts and effectively presents research results in internal and external settings.

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
