Life as a Technical Architect at CEF: 


As a Technical Architect at CEF, you’ll shape the future of our cloud-native architecture by designing scalable, secure solutions on AWS. Your role is pivotal in guiding engineering teams through the transition from legacy platforms to modern AWS serverless solutions, empowering them to build more effective software faster. We value hands-on mentoring—showing rather than telling—and you’ll inspire teams with practical, real-world examples as they embrace new technologies and adopt best practices. 



Your Objectives:
  • Design and Influence: Create resilient, efficient, and scalable AWS Serverless architectures that align with business needs. You’ll use your know-how in Domain-Driven Design and Team Topologies to shape solutions that align with how teams work best and make scaling easier. 
  • Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure cloud solutions are implemented effectively, instilling best practices in AWS Serverless and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Drive Innovation: Enable teams to move quickly, with a focus on utilizing AWS Serverless, Event Bridge, and DynamoDB to support agile development. 
  • Enhance Development Processes: Improve development speed and quality by creating clear, scalable solutions that engineering teams can follow confidently. 


Key Skills & Experience:
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS Serverless, Typescript, Lambda, Event Bridge, and DynamoDB is essential. 
  • Communication & Mentorship: Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on “show, don’t tell” learning. 
  • Cloud Transformation: Experience supporting teams in migrating from legacy platforms to cloud-native solutions. 
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying issues and designing solutions that balance immediate and long-term needs. 


Interview Process:
  • Initial Screening – A brief chat with Talent Acquisition to discuss your experience and the kind of role you are looking for. (30 Mins)
  • Technical Deep Dive – A virtual session with members of the Architecture team to assess your technical skills and approach to AWS serverless architecture. (60 Mins)
  • Team Fit – A final conversation with the Architecture and Leadership to discuss your mentorship style and alignment with our company culture. (60 Mins)


Package:
