As a Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our city's facilities and infrastructure. If you have a passion for maintenance and a desire to contribute to the betterment of our city, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Perform routine maintenance tasks on city facilities and infrastructure, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.Conduct regular inspections of city facilities and infrastructure to identify and address any potential issues.Respond to service calls and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed tasks, materials used, and time spent.Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used for maintenance work.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other city staff to ensure efficient and coordinated maintenance efforts.Assist with special projects and events as needed, such as setting up and taking down equipment.Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing maintenance processes.Represent the city in a professional and helpful manner while interacting with residents and community members.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Attend trainings and workshops to stay updated on new maintenance techniques and procedures.Follow all city policies and procedures while performing job duties.Other duties as assigned by supervisors.City of San Jose is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
