Trillium Staffing is now looking for a Claims Adjuster for long-term work!

The Claims Adjuster is to receive, oversee, adjust, and manage liability claims for its employees are handling. These reports include civil demands for bodily injury and property claims.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take incoming accident reports and submit completed accident reports.
• Provide Loss Run update to Risk Admin via email.
• Process each assigned claim by entering info into claims system and prepare a separate paper file for records.
• Update new file information in paper file and electronic claim file with pertinent documentation and advise Risk Admin on all updates to be included in Loss Run.
• Investigate each assigned claim by contacting driver to confirm the facts of the accident and contact the claimant for their report of the accident.
• Contact Claimants and/or their insurance carrier to discuss claims investigation and share necessary information.
• Contact witness and police and obtain photos, statements, and investigation reports.
• Determine contributory negligence/comparative fault laws and statute of limitations for all 50 states.
• Gather and evaluate claim liability investigation and share necessary claim information.
• Obtain necessary repair estimates and photos.
• Assign an independent appraiser field adjuster to inspect damaged property, obtain photos and complete an estimate of repair or total loss appraisal.
• Handle subrogation claims, including filing documentation, investigation, and damages to property.
• Determine and make a demand to the at-fault party to settle claim to include all repair estimates of damage.
• Send email recovery notices to Corporate Accounting.

Hours are 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm and the starting wage is 60-64k DOE. This position is contract to direct.

• 3+ years liability claim experience.
• Associate’s degree; or 3+ years of work experience in adjusting liability claims.

Preferred Experience Requirements

• Professional designations such as AIC or INS.
• Subrogation experience
• Minimum Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree; or 5+ years of work experience and maintains an insurance designation (AIC or INS)
