What you do:
Responsible for leadership and management direction to a team of Claims Adjusters and technical claims guidance and management of strategic technical programs to assure cost effective and high quality state/regional claims outcomes.
What you bring:
Comprehensive knowledge of Construction Defect claim handling procedures, philosophy, legal concepts, terminology, financial concepts for reserving, and negotiation & settlement techniques for optimal outcomes.
Effective communication skills resulting in clear and concise file directions to the claims adjusters to drive outcomes.
Ability to review claim file activities and identify pivotal coverage, liability & damage issues. Guide the team in development of action plans to address the pivotal issues.
Knowledge of both Named Insured and Additional Insured coverage issues.
Ability to review/analyze coverage letters and make recommendations for any needed edits/corrections.
Strong knowledge of risk transfer avenues to other parties, as well as other potential concurrent, primary, excess or additional insured coverage.
Aptitude to guide the development of effective cost benefit litigation strategies.
Oversee timely submission of large loss reports.
Manage quarterly claim file roundtables.
Flexible interpersonal skills in order to deal with a variety of business relationships, both external and internal.
