Claims Manager

Principal responsibility involves claim management and will also support the risk management / insurance activities working with the Risk Manager. Manages non-litigated injured worker claims including oversight of injured workers treatment, claims documentation, authorizations, and reporting. Handles insured litigation claims working with in-house and outside counsel. Will also support other risk management activities such as program placement and administration. In performance of these duties, will be involved with management of broker and service provider relationships, loss reserve analysis, cost allocation, claims management; litigation management, and supporting insurance acquisition and program placement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline, and/or course work in risk management
• 8 years’ experience in risk/claims management or related field, preferably including experience in US market
• Strong background in legal, insurance, and/or financial disputes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Multi-lined Licensed Adjuster
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
• Travel is an essential job function (approximately 30%, domestic, international, & offshore)

• Review/generate appropriate claims documentation, ensure proper authorizations, and adhere to stringent guidelines for expediting claims cases in the most satisfactory manner for both Noble and injured party
• Control and supervise claims management and settlement process in order to minimize Noble’s exposure.
• Control and supervise setting reserves by discussing case evaluation and progress.
• Insure maintenance of a schedule of all litigated claim reserves and paid amounts on an on-going basis.
• Notify injured employee’s family as needed
• Assist with the investigation of personal injury claims
• Support reporting process for accidents, damages or property loss which may generate claims against the company and subsequent reporting to underwriters.
• Maintain effective, open, and regular communication and provide assistance to company departments, divisions, and subsidiaries, as needed.
• Coordinate the management of suits (including personal injury) filed against Noble. Assist with assignment of counsel.
• Manage insured property damage and liability claims (including personal injury claims) by interacting with assigned counsel, loss adjusters, the insurance brokers and underwriters.
• Coordinate notification and case updates to broker and/or underwriters of property and liability claims.
• Submit costs for non-personnel injury claims to adjuster.
• Maintain ledger to monitor all submission recoveries.

• Administration and placement of Noble’s insurance coverage in appropriate markets according to management requirements.
• Manage and control schedule for insurance premiums and retention allocation.
• Assist with contract review for insurance provisions.
• Request Certificates of Insurance for contracts and bids.
• Coordinate payment of all insurance related invoices.
