Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Team directly reporting to our Finance Manager

The Accounting Specialist will support the accounting team in activities related to the three entities (Italy, Spain, and the UK).
They will be responsible for verifying procurement requests, managing customer accounts, recording bank transactions, and reviewing employees expense reports. The role requires particular attention to contract verification, customer account management, employee expenses, and accounting reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

• Verifying purchase requests through the company tool
• Checking available budgets
• Creating and managing purchase orders (PO)
• Producing reports on purchase orders and commitments
• Verifying contracts and conditions with suppliers
• Monitoring deliveries
• Verifying and approving supplier costs

Expense Reports Management:

• Reviewing company expense reports to ensure compliance with the Travel & Expense Policy, approving or flagging any discrepancies or non-compliant expenses.

Account Receivable:

• Managing customer records
• Issuing invoices
• Monitoring payments and deadlines
• Recovering outstanding receivables

Bank Reconciliations:

• Performing bank reconciliations and recording transactions

• Diploma in Accounting or Degree in Economics or similar
• At least 2-3 years of experience in general accounting and/or supplier/customer management
• Ability to use reporting tools and manage purchase orders
• Precision, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the English language
