Hourly Accountant

Clearcover, a high-growth technology start-up disrupting the insurance market, is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. This part-time remote role requires strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.

Skills

Strong leadership and effective communication
Familiarity with US GAAP and statutory accounting principles
Proficiency in MS Office products, especially MS Excel
Experience with Workday and Blackline is a plus

Responsibilities

Bank account transaction review and general ledger coding
Daily management of the AP email and AP Slack channel
Monthly Agent/Partner commission review and coding
Payments to accounting-owned vendors
Daily Positive Pay review for multiple bank accounts
Weekly review of scanned accounting mail

Education

BA/BS degree in Accounting
