The right individual for this role will work with Holland & Knight’s Billing Attorneys and assistants, as a liaison with clients, for the purpose of resolving client non-payment issues to improve collection realization.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Communicate and interact with attorneys, assistants, and clients.

Respond to collection related requests quickly, effectively, and accurately.

Work with peers and management on collection related requests.

Responsible for an attorney assignment (approximately 50 Billing Attorneys).

Manage assigned attorneys’ inventory, specifically monitoring and resolving aged invoices, credit balances, and aged unbilled work.

Handle all aspects of attorney and client outreach (via email, phone, and/or mail) to resolve non-payment issues.

Communicate and report to leadership on delinquent collections and at risk inventory.
Qualifications:

0-2 years of work in a professional environment.

Must be self-motivated and possess a high level of professionalism.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use good judgment.

Excellent computer skills.

Proficient knowledge of accounting functions.

Working knowledge of MS Office.
Minimum Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred but may be substituted for relevant work experience.
This position may be filled in New York City, Colorado, or California. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the Colorado Equal Pay Act, and the California Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position in New York City is $25.50-$38.30/hr, in Colorado is $22.30-$33.50/hr, and in California is $24.40-$39.80/hr. These ranges are specific to these three locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience."
