The Client File Lead serves as a subject matter expert for data files and thrives on managing the technology development efforts for their clients. They focus on delivering a positive client experience as well as serving as a connection point for client, third parties and shared services. The Client File Lead will instill strong values in their team helping them understand that the work we are doing impacts thousands of people and that every little detail matters. They document and highlight variances to our best practices while assisting with designing data solutions to meet the client’s needs. The Client File Lead will work in a global environment with a virtual team and demonstrate a moderate level of cross-cultural competencies.

Primary Responsibilities of a Client File Lead:

  • Identifies and defines the client's data, system foundation, and interface requirements. Documents these requirements for handoff to developers and testers.

  • Leads client and third-party requirement meetings related to files.

  • Integrates data and system requirements to ensure efficient solutions.

  • Predicts, identifies, and communicates internal and external risks related to system and data design.

  • Consults client and third parties on best practices while meeting the client's business needs.

  • Determines if requirements can be accommodated within the system; articulates system limitations and constraints to the client.

  • Identifies, documents, and communicates scope changes during the requirements phase of the project, specific to data files.

  • Works with and responds to client or third party on new file requests and client requests or escalations

  • Task management in JIRA

  • Correspondence with carriers, managers and shared service teams on new file builds

  • Assists team in work prioritization and technical coaching as needed.

  • Acts as Quality Assurance expert for complex files as necessary.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • MS Excel or Google Sheets - intermediate to advanced skills

  • Experience working with EDI files – preferred

  • Strong Client Consulting Skills

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Big picture thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail

  • Benefits administration knowledge – preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $55,800.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $88,500.00/year (for full-time employees).
