Reporting to Alight’s Director of Investigations within Client & Customer Security, this role will conduct fraud investigations combatting emerging and evolving customer and client threats. To comply with client requirements, applicants must be a citizen of and reside in the United States.

What You'll Do:

  • Use Alight’s systems to review, classify, triage, and assign initial reports of suspected fraud from customers, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Gathering evidence including querying, obtaining, sorting, analyzing, correlating, documenting, and preserving relevant customer account changes, authentication, and other activity.
  • Write detailed investigation reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Use Alight’s systems to conduct proactive fraud detection.
  • Work collaboratively with other fraud investigators and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Represent Alight when communicating and assisting law enforcement.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership in the context of the role.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, criminal justice, criminology, or other relevant discipline, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 5-8 years of experience working in a fraud, compliance, risk environment, or relevant experience in financial crimes/fraud.
  • Designation as a Certified Fraud Investigator (CFE) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).
  • Prior experience investigating fraud including experience gathering evidence, reviewing data, classifying risk, triaging reported fraud, and writing detailed investigation reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues when sorting data, interpreting results, reporting, and making recommendations
    Strong time management skills •Broad knowledge of various banking and financial transactions including those specifically related to healthcare or retirement plans such as defined benefit, defined contribution, and healthcare spending reimbursement plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings in a clear, concise, and easy to understand format.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $72,200.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $144,800.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
