Client Finance Manager

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Partner with account management and project managers to prepare client budgets in line with statements of work.
• Facilitate the monthly billing process – liaison between account teams and billing group and review billing reports.
• Provide financial analysis and client reporting for individual projects.
• Upload client budgets and project request forms in financial system.
• Assist account teams with monthly project budget vs. actual tracking and other required client reporting.
• Create and revise staffing plans, in coordination with account management, HR, and Finance leadership.
• Fee Reconciliation.
• Provide time and expense details to account management and project managers as incurred on project(s).
• Review missing time reports weekly and follow up on delinquencies.
• Prepare and review staff utilization and overservice reports and flag issues for management.
• Facilitate data collection for client reports and inquiries.
• Maintain a record of required client reporting and ensure timely completion.
• Review monthly fee and expense details – pull back up as needed and ensure proper coding of expenses.
• Assist with development of internal budgets, forecasts and projections.
• Assist with development of management reports.
• Review and approve revenue allocations (with oversight).
• Calculate and project monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings.
• Assist account management and project managers with project transaction review.
• Liaison with Accounts Receivable to review outstanding receivables; collect commentary and assist with collections; as required.
• Process purchase orders upon request.
• Run financial queries upon staff request.
• Support the Finance department by maintaining files, contracts and other relevant documentation.
• Ad hoc requests and projects.

Here’s what you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years Client Finance/FP&A/Finance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems experience required; NetSuite a plus
• Aptitude for financial analysis.
• Proficiency in project profitability drivers and familiar with client budgeting tools and methods.
• Effective project management skills.
• Experience working in an Advertising/Public Relations/Marketing firm preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Superior organizational skills with an eye for detail.
• Client service oriented; a problem solver who thinks above, beyond, and ahead to improve day to day interactions and experiences with internal and external clients
