Nextdoor’s Sales team is a diverse, hungry and strategic group of neighbors focused on partnering with enterprise brands to connect them with our community of members through our growing portfolio of advertising products. The Impact You’ll Make


Nextdoor’s Sales team partners with enterprise brands to connect them with our community of neighbors across the United States through our native advertising product, Sponsored Posts. You will develop and build a pipeline and drive new business through the full sales cycle (from prospecting to closing). To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of brand storytelling, comfort with measurement, data, and insights creation, experience with social and native advertising, and an extensive network of national brands. You are ambitious and thrive in a startup environment, with a demonstrated ability to build detailed sales and revenue generation plans, while also being able to roll up your sleeves and execute tactically. You will:  


  • Develop integrated brand campaigns that clearly achieve brand objectives
  • Self sufficient problem solver who can use existing tools and solutions in unique manners to drive differentiated value for our partners
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quotas
  • Effectively manage client expectations and work with campaign operations team to ensure successful performance and client retention
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to internal marketing, product and engineering teams to drive product innovation
  • Aggressively pursue new prospects and sales opportunities. Be a hunter
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers across complex national corporations and agency partners
  • Manage a robust pipeline and accurately forecast new business revenue  


What You’ll Bring To The Team


  • 6+ years of experience in advertising sales
  • A history of securing new business partners exceeding ~$1M quarterly
  • Demonstrated ability to identify value driving opportunities for brands and a track record of creating solutions that address those revenue driving opportunities
  • Experience with Salesforce and prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn, WINMO)
  • Advanced sales, communication, and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding and experience with social and native advertising
  • Comfort and familiarity with data driven targeting, insights, and measurement solutions for retail, QSR, and CPG advertisers
  • Successful track record of developing strategic relationships with marketers and brands, with an active client list of large national and regional brands
  • Strong understanding of both branding, and performance marketing campaigns aimed delivering on measurable advertiser success metrics
  • Established relationships with top marketing decision-makers at leading brands and advertising agencies, selling digital advertising
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • A passion for community building, to inspire a more inclusive team and diversity of thought, both at Nextdoor and in your own neighborhoods  


Rewards


Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.


The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $76,000 to $140,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.


Importantly, the compensation for this role also includes a variable incentive component, which will vary depending on your achievement of sales-related goals and objectives.


We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.


Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
