We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated part-time Clinical Experience Application Analyst to join our Healthcare IT team. As a part-time Clinical Experience Application Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our clinical applications and ensuring the efficient and effective use of our healthcare systems. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, configure, and support our clinical applications, with a particular focus on Cerner Discern expert rules and CCL (Cerner Command Language).
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate the clinical workflow and system requirements to optimize the functionality and performance of our clinical applications.
  • Configure and customize Cerner Discern expert rules and CCL to meet the specific needs of our healthcare organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, IT professionals, and administrators, to identify and address clinical application issues and enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including workflows, technical specifications, and training materials, to support the effective use of clinical applications.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and participate in the resolution of incidents related to clinical applications.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure smooth integration and deployment of clinical applications.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to clinical applications and inform the team of any relevant advancements.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration) or equivalent experience.
Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Clinical Application Analyst or in a similar role within a healthcare setting for 3-5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in Cerner Discern expert rules.
  • Intermediate CCL experience.
  • Knowledge of Cerner program software is preferred.
  • Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (0365, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Proficient in analyzing complex clinical workflows and translating them into system requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to clinical applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA) is preferred.
  • Certification in Cerner Discern or related clinical applications is a plus.
Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position, with a 20 hour per week schedule.

The specific work schedule will be determined in consultation with the candidate, as long as it aligns with our operational needs.

This is a hybrid with onsite requirements, allowing you to work from any location with a reliable internet connection.
