As a Cloud Architect, you will be joining a team of top-notch operations and software engineers, designers, and developers who are continually creating and shipping amazing software experiences. We are seeking an experienced architect to help us develop, expand, and modernize our AWS stack. You will coordinate closely with our Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to design effective, efficient, scalable, and secure applications. You will be responsible for working with Technology leadership to guide technology decisions and direct the technical direction of Call Box. You will have the opportunity to be a “loud voice” and have a very direct and meaningful impact on the future of a successful technology company.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain all aspects of our OpSec practice.
• Manage our cloud budget, find efficiencies and potential cost savings, and assist with sound purchasing strategies.
• Help to develop and mature our nascent Enterprise/Application Eventing architecture.
• Work with Engineering to create a culture of elite cloud development, including educating, mentoring, and training developers who are new to the discipline.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field and present them to leadership.
• Collaborate to create and shape new products from the ground up.
• Thrive in a large, open collaborative environment.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is nice, equivalent work experience is a must.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with Event Driven Architecture implementation.
• IAM/Identity/Security Management experience, utilizing a modern account/role-based approach.
• Understanding and experience in VPC design and maintenance.
• Experience managing cloud based VM environments e.g. AWS EC2.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting budgeting tools and best practices.
• Experience with network attached data technologies such as AWS S3.
• An analytical mindset, but also with the grit and fortitude to own and execute your ambitious projects.
• A thinker AND a doer. Not one or the other.
• Eagerness to learn and have a lot of creative drive.
• Willingness to take on daily challenges and be adaptable.

Other “Nice to Have” skills and experience:

• Certification/training credentials (AWS certified architect/practitioner will be especially valuable, GCP or Azure cloud will be considered).
• Extensive Scripting/Coding/Development experience.
• Experience with Containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS etc.).
• Experience with DevOps/IaC & pipeline development.
• Data Mart/Data Lake/Data Archival expertise.
• Comfort with administering GRC policies, CI Benchmarks, and other compliance tasks.
• ISO 27K/SOC2 experience.
• Understanding of or experience with Telephony technologies.
