The Role
You will lead on all aspects relating to definition, development and maintenance of the AWS architecture and the associated management systems, platforms and tools, reporting directly to the CTO.
You should be enthusiastic about the opportunity to collaborate with our Information Security Manager and VP of Engineering to ensure our infrastructure is secure by design.
You will contribute to the definition of new products and the future implementation of the cloud data platform to support machine learning and advanced data analytics.
Salary: £50k - £75k
Requirements
Experience of leading the delivery, management and improvement of critical cloud systems
Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
Extensive knowledge of architecting and managing critical cloud environments in AWS, you are likely to have an AWS Solutions Architect certification
Solid grasp of enterprise security practices, relational databases and SQL
An in-depth understanding of database systems and associated schema including efficiency / cost tradeoffs
Knowledge of delivering efficiency through automation and orchestration (for example Terraform and Ansible)
Networking experience, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, OSI, TCP/IP, File Transfer Protocols, Telnet and Secure Shell, Load balancer, DNS, and DHCP, among others
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related subject; an advanced degree would be even better
5+ years in a cloud infrastructure role

We are a remote-first company, with the majority of our team working remotely full time with the ability to connect with colleagues at either of our two co-working spaces in London and Derby. Virtual team meetings are typically weekly with Company catchups monthly.
