What you’re applying for

We’re looking for an empathetic claims professional who will help us settle non-injury car liability losses quickly and efficiently.

As an essential part of the Car insurance team at Lemonade, you’ll work closely with policyholders, vendors and claimants to quickly find a resolution to non-injury car liability claims. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as underwriting and SIU, to assess risk and investigate losses—all while providing a best-in-class customer experience. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be customer-obsessed.

This role will be situated within Metromile, an insurer recently acquired and brought into the Lemonade family.

**Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants from these locations: Colorado, California, Montana, Hawaii, New Mexico and Puerto Rico**

What you'll do

  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex non-injury auto liability claims to reach a fair settlement for involved parties while maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Interpret policy contacts and identify how coverage applies to a particular loss
  • Accurately document files to include all key claims activities
  • Resolve internal and external customer inquiries
  • Ensure our customers receive a world class customer experience

What you'll need

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar type of non-injury auto complex liability role
  • Experience using Guidewire ClaimCenter is preferred
  • Comfortable articulating yourself on the phone as well as in email
  • A fast learner and self-driven with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Desire to work in a unique, dynamic and fast paced startup environment
  • Comfortable with and adaptable to new technology and business tools
  • Strong understanding of limits issues and authority
  • Auto insurance license required; Texas license – a plus
