The Reporting Development Manager handles all mortgage servicing data related requests from internal and external stakeholders. The reporting development manager leads a team that will consist of both onshore and offshore reporting developers and partner with the Servicing Technology team to help the organization meet strategic goals. This position will be primarily responsible for providing guidance, structure, technical, and delivery expertise for all servicing data requests from internal and external customers, which includes all servicing business lines, regulators, auditors, investor/insurers, executive leadership, and other key stakeholders. This position reports to the VP of Data Integrations & Implementations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Advocates for data management technologies and practices finding ways to eliminating gaps between the current state and a well-targeted future state.
- Reviews, prioritizes, and assigns all data and information requests for servicing data from business line, investor/insurers, executive team and clients.
- Leads a team of onshore and offshore reporting developers by providing mentorship and support and through development and utilization of reporting practices and procedures.
- Partners with business area SMEs and stakeholders to understand data needs and ensures requirements for requests are well defined and meet the needs of the users.
- Designs reporting layout/visualizations ensuring the most appropriate methods and tools are used.
- Understands upstream and downstream data flow and database architecture.
- Designs efficient, effective and accurate queries for servicing data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and translate them into reporting specifications.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in data-related matters.
- Keep abreast of mortgage servicing industry trends and best practices in data architecture, visualization and reporting development.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile/SAFE practices
- Accepts other projects and assignments as needed without discord.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience with web-based business intelligence tools such as Domo, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS or similar.
- 5+ years development and optimization of queries in SQL, Snowflake, Scala, Ruby, Python or similar
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
- Knowledge data management, development technologies and processes.
- Expert understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Experience and familiarity with mortgage servicing industry terms and processes is preferred.
- Experience in working with and/or leading offshore and onshore reporting developers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to a diverse audience (technical, non-technical)

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.
CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $125,000 - $145,000. Factors that affect salary may include: Servicing Technology experience, overall knowledge of mortgage servicing industry, number of years worked in mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage customers, and education.
