Diesel Equipment Technician

Our client is a trusted supplier of material handling equipment, specializing in new and remanufactured machinery for the forestry, scrap, and bulk material industries. They were founded in 1980 and employee-owned, the company operates out of Lexington, SC. They are an authorized distributor of Allied Wagner and Barko Knuckle Boom Loaders and provide installation and servicing of Lincoln Automatic Lubrication Systems. Their commitment to quality and customer service makes them a leader in heavy equipment solutions.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Equipment Technician to join our client’s team. If you have experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment and are looking for a career with a reputable and growing company, we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities
  • Perform automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs on heavy equipment to ensure peak performance and reliability.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment inspections, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including vehicle transmissions, air brakes, alignments, and hydraulic components.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to company and industry safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with team members, customers, and supervisors to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.


Qualifications
  • Must possess own tools.
  • Must be able to pass random drug screens.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (up to 10 years).
