The ideal candidate will have expertise in MongoDB RDBMS/SQL/PL/SQL Basics Azure Cosmos DB and Python. This role is hybrid with no travel required and operates during day shifts. The Sr. Developer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our database systems ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain robust database systems using MongoDB RDBMS/SQL/PL/SQL Basics and Azure Cosmos DB.Design and implement database schemas tables and stored procedures to support application development.Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Optimize database performance by analyzing and tuning queries indexes and database configurations.Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures and best practices.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.Develop and maintain Python scripts for data manipulation extraction and reporting.Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs configurations and procedures.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the use of best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical solutions.QualificationsPossess a strong understanding of MongoDB and its ecosystem.Demonstrate proficiency in RDBMS/SQL/PL/SQL Basics.Have hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB.Show expertise in Python programming for data manipulation and automation.Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Display excellent communication and collaboration skills.Have a proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies.Experience with hybrid work models is a plus.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is nice to have.Knowledge of data security best practices is essential.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.A bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.Certifications RequiredCertified MongoDB Developer Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate Python Institute PCEPSalary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until Dec 5th 2024 . The annual salary for this position is between $110 K-135 K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
