Senior Java Full Stack Engineer / AWS

We offer the most comprehensive digital engineering expertise and client-centric methodology for balanced innovation.Location: Chicago, IL or Remote on USA.Responsibilities• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL.• Ensure software solutions are scalable reliable and secure to meet business needs.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.• Troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated technical issues in a timely manner.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.• Implement best practices for software development including coding standards code reviews and automated testing.• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.• Continuously improve software development processes and tools to improve productivity and quality.• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations particularly in the Payer domain.• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.• Contribute to the overall success of the team by sharing knowledge and collaborating optimally.Qualifications• 6 to 8 years of experience working with Java.• Possess a strong background in AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, AngularJS, Java, JavaScript and MySQL.• Experience in the Payer domain.• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot sophisticated issues.• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills.• Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.• Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.• Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced agile environment.• Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future*Salary And Other CompensationApplications will be accepted until 8/25/2024The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life InsurancePaid holidays plus Paid Time Off401(k) plan and contributionsLong-term/Short-term DisabilityPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Stock Purchase PlanDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
