Depending on your position, you may be assigned a company-issued device to use throughout your tenure of employment.Scope of WorkThe Contractor for Academic Review is responsible for evaluating academic records during the registration process to ensure appropriate student placement in grade levels based on prior academic records and transcripts. This contract-based role involves liaising with parents and school districts to obtain missing information necessary for the comprehensive enrollment of students in Texas.Essential Position Functions• Conduct thorough reviews of academic records, including report cards and transcripts, to determine appropriate grade-level placement.• Ensure compliance with established enrollment criteria and guidelines.• Coordinate with parents and school districts to gather any missing academic documents required for enrollment.• Develop and implement communication strategies to inform parents and teachers about enrollment prerequisites, grade-level criteria, and academic standards.• Clearly articulate and promote the school's mission and vision to stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and community members.• Monitor daily student enrollments and streamline approval procedures to expedite the enrollment process.• Assist in compiling and verifying academic records for final review and approval.• Serve as a resource for parents, providing comprehensive information on school policies, procedures, and academic expectations.• Foster a culture of high expectations for student achievement by communicating academic and behavioral standards.• Participate in and support state testing initiatives as needed, ensuring compliance with testing protocols.• Collaborate with school leaders and stakeholders to create and sustain a positive school climate that prioritizes inclusivity and student well-being.• Cultivate effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members to foster a sense of partnership.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Experience: Proven experience in student enrollment, academic advising, or related fields. Previous work as a school counselor or registrar is preferred.• Knowledge: Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws, as well as school-specific regulations and enrollment criteria for public schools.• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Proficiency in reading student transcripts and determining grade levels.• Bilingual Skills: Preferred but not required.Education & Certification Requirements• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Contractor Position Details• This is a contract position (1099-SE, Self-Employed).• Contractors will work remotely from their locations.• Contractors are paid on an hourly, month-to-month basis, paid out on the 15th of each month, for hours worked in the previous month.Equal Employment (EEO) StatementAt Stellar Virtual, we embrace diversity and foster an inclusive and supportive work environment.
