Our team of experienced recruiters work together to match the best candidates with the right job and/or business opportunities.Today we are Hiring a Remote, Acute Care Hospital Financial Analyst III for our client in Farmington, NM.This role can be worked remotely.Financial Analyst III candidates will have the following job responsibilities:Contribute or complete and file the reports to governmental or other stakeholdersParticipate in, initiate, or lead the process improvement projectsGain a deep understanding of the Workday ERP system and use it to innovate current processes to eliminate waste and increase understandingResponsible for the accounting and records of all entity assets. Performs asset assignment, audits, inventoryCreate training materials for financial processes for Finance Department and outside stakeholdersMaintain and examine personal time log data to identify and create efficienciesPrepares all necessary periodic financial statements that are accurate, and complete on a timely basisPrepares monthly financial dashboards that are accurate, timely and completeWorks with the Department Leadership to review the contractual and bad debt reserves on a periodic basis for appropriateness and for use in the organization's reserve calculation and for operating budgetAnalyses and interprets information prepared or reported to provide internal leadership with information necessary to enhance decision makingPrepares selected journal entries for the general ledger and works with the CFO, Finance Department Manager and Financial Services team to close each accounting period and year in a timely mannerMaintains various balance sheet account detail on General Ledger and prepares monthly reports as back up as necessaryPrepares various reports for month end financial close as necessaryAssists CFO and Financial Services team with the preparation of the federal and state requirements for Not-for-Profit returns (e.g., Form 990, Community Benefit and others as assigned)Acts as Financial Services team leader for the fixed asset inventory and fixed asset accounting projects. Coordinates with Finance Department Manager and Financial Services staff to coordinate the annual review of fixed assets in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.Reconciles the annual fixed asset inventory to fixed asset subsidiary and General Ledger recordsPrepares journal entries to record results of the physical inventory no later than the last month of each fiscal yearWorks with the Finance Department Management on internal control projectsAssists with preparation of the annual budgetServes as lead contact during financial audits with independent public accountantsRecommends and implements new or modified processes to provide complete and accurate financial and statistical reportingPursues process improvement to improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems and reportsIn coordination with other Financial Services staff, gains an understanding of and can function as the backup for other Finance Department functions when necessaryMaintains confidentiality of all information handledProvides a high level of customer service to all contacts in the organizationEach employee is responsible for implementing Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and StewardshipOther duties as assignedFinancial Analyst IIIFull-TimeFinancial Analyst III candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or a fulfillment of the requirement to be considered as a CPA candidateA minimum of three (3) years' experience in accounting/Financial Analyst functionsDetail oriented with demonstrated analytical skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareAdvanced knowledge of ExcelExcellent oral, written, and organizational skillsMust have the personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel to accomplish the goals of the Finance divisionAbility to work well independently and in a teamThorough understanding of generally accepted accounting standardsExcellent knowledge and understanding of Workday ERP System Financial Module or prepared to learn the system independently within the first two month of employment to fully accommodate the work assignmentExcellent knowledge of presentation design techniques to prepare internal and external visual documentsNeed 5 -7 years direct hospital expPreferred QualificationsCPA License or approved to sit for CPA examsCandidate must complete and submit assessments in attachments with resumeAccountant level III- must be very experienced in accounting/Financial Analyst functions, 3+ yearsWill be given a skills test before interview- skills test is level IIKnowledge and understanding of Workday ERP System Financial Module is a huge PLUSOpen to remote candidatesNo sign on/No relocation$34.37/hour
