Warehouse Analyst

The warehouse analyst will execute our inventory adjustment process and support the US Warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role is vital in driving analytics to discover new ways of optimizing our inventory management processes, contributing to cost savings and operational efficiency initiatives and delivering direct impact on company bottom line.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the E2E execution, starting with the input from all sources with inbound capacity, along with output outbound capacity and maintaining adequate levels of warehouse space utilization by crafting a short, middle and long term constrained plan.
  • Foresee and communicate potential issues when warehouse will become out of inventory balance and take actions accordingly.
  • Work with 3PL’s to deliver continuous improvement projects to generate FTG.
  • Management of end to end operational tasks for respective DC locations including inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage salvage orders to include; damaged goods, closeout and/or discontinued, SLOB, and any specific Supply Chain sku reduction requests.
  • Own the customer ASN and/or UCC128 programs and connect with the warehouses regarding ASN set-up or vendor compliance issues.
  • Management of operational OS&D claims process.
  • Responsibility for monthly reporting of backhaul performance by warehouse to include follow up with Customer Service for all unfavorable trends.
  • Manage warehouse related EDI transactions. This includes supervising the EDI kickout report and corrective actions for all warehouse IDOCS transactions. Also to include sharing EDI training program for all designated 3rd party warehouse systems contacts.
  • Ownership of quality hold sampling program and timely communication with order entry, transportation, and the warehouses for all product holds. Management of movements to and from quality hold and blocked hold in SAP and WMS.
  • Administrative control of all lot tracking product recalls, live and/or trace recalls, in support of the warehouse metrics.
  • Coordination of all restricted SKU’s product mapping with Data Management and the 3rd parties. Follow up for all restricted inventory releases, only those related to warehouse delays after the SAP release has been performed.
  • Dive into the variety of the data sources (e.g. SAP, WMS, BI, Sigma) to uncover insights that will improve our inventory processes to drive efficiencies. Look for the patterns and connections in different data sets working with cross-functional partners
  • Leverage the latest collaboration tools and technologies (e.g. DOMO, Google data studio) to drive next level of analytics, data visualization and facilitate information sharing.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 Year experience in related fields
  • Strong data analytical skills – ability to research, identify requirements, gather, clean, analyze, and interpret data, and present findings insightfully.
  • Proactive Decision-Making - Have the ability to make decisions and take initiative without waiting for explicit instructions, especially in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving - Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to address operational issues promptly. Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills to address challenges and identify innovative solutions. Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth warehouse operations.
  • Initiative - Take independent action and demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and solve issues before they become critical.
  • Inquisitiveness - Possess a natural curiosity to ask questions and seek additional information to fully understand a situation.
  • Follow-Up, Accountability and Autonomy - Consistently following up on tasks, ensuring that necessary actions are taken, and being accountable for the resolution of issues. Have ability to work independently and make decisions without constant supervision or the need to consult higher-ups for every detail.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in Excel


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: (e.g; SAP, G- Suite, Domo, Sophisticated Excel, Power BI, etc)
  • Prior internship or co-op experience; manufacturing experience; student organization and/or other leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Proactive mindset to take initiative, propose innovative ideas, and drive them to execution


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $70,400.00 - $103,950.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
