We are seeking a candidate to serve as an intern in the Division of Special Investigations. We are looking for a highly motivated student with an interest in Criminal Justice / Criminology / Law Enforcement to work with Special Agents and Fraud Analysts aiding with detecting and investigating fraud and abuse.
Primary duties of the position include
Projected Schedule:
The schedule is flexible and will most likely fall between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Some teleworking is allowed, in addition to work in the Lima field office, and willingness to work in the field with the supervision of an agent. The headquarters for this position will be at the Ohio BWC Lima Service Office at 2025 E Fourth Street in Lima, Ohio.
Qualifications:
Must currently be enrolled in a higher education program. Majors considered to be most relevant include Criminal Justice or Criminology Program.
Necessary Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of law enforcement; OBWC Special Investigations practices and procedures*; OBWC practices and procedures*; public relations.
Skill in use of personal computer.
Ability to carry out simple instructions; add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers; read simple sentences with common vocabulary; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; handle sensitive inquiries from & contacts with officials & general public.
