This position is responsible for timely and accurate accounting functions, including but not limited to reconciliation & analysis, audit coordination, control framework ownership and other general accounting tasks. As the Sr. Accountant, you will work in a talented and dynamic team environment with an opportunity to partner cross functionally across Coloplast globally.Major Areas of AccountabilityAreas of responsibilities:Major functions are described below. Other duties may be assigned.• Coordinate and oversee tasks assigned to the North America subsidiary by global team• Actively participate in the month-end close process, generate and review journal entries, and preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations in accordance with policies.• Own the control framework for the North America business, ensuring controls are implemented to safeguard financial integrity and are updated as the business evolves.• Partner with the Business Center (CoE) in Poland on questions relating to accruals, reconciliations, and overall maintenance of the balance sheet.• Provide support and guidance to the accounting team as it relates to general accounting practices• Own the internal audits for North America, being the single point of contact for the audit team including coordination of workpapers, facilitating meetings, etc.• Investigate and resolve audit findings and account discrepancies.• Own annual insurance renewals and maintenance.• Provide support to the organization through projects requiring analysis.• Assess and propose improvements to processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financialsBasic Qualifications• 3 years of accounting experience, including experience leading or coordinating projects• Must be self-motivated with an energetic, results-orientated and customer focused style coupled with a strong accounting background and desire to determine the root cause of issues.• Must be able to work independently and be comfortable with situations which require decision making and collaboration.• Possess a high-energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement, sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes and personal commitment to meet deadlines.• Demonstrated skills of business partnering skills and ability to influence others.• Previous experience supported by a strong track record of success in responsibilities for general ledger accounting and control functions• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance• *Preferred Qualifications• Certified Public AccountantPursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
