Job Summary The Senior Manager, Technology Public Relations will play a key role on Comcast's Corporate Communications team, evangelizing Comcast's technology leadership and developing compelling stories about Comcast innovations and innovators. Reporting to the Head of Technology Communications, the Senior Manager will engage directly with engineers and developers that are building next-generation connectivity and video technologies used by tens of millions of people around the world. The Senior Manager will also play an important role in managing technology related issues, including cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded communicator with a passion for advanced technology and experience translating complex technical concepts into accessible, compelling stories that advance core business objectives. Attention-to-detail and organizational skills are a must. Responsible for assisting and coordinating plans with senior level management and conducting public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company. Plans and directs development and communication of information designed to keep public informed of Company's programs, accomplishments, or point of view. Organizes a significant flow of work and meets appropriate deadlines while representing the organization. Develops operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Job Description Core Responsibilities Work as part of the Technology Communications team and support communications initiatives around technological innovations relating to the network, software development, cybersecurity, and AI/ML. Develop and write communications materials, including drafts of press releases and blog posts, as well as executive communications. Write fact sheets, key messages, statements, and Q&A documents, etc., on technology-related company matters. Monitor media and develop press lists. Help to advance Comcast storytelling by building and maintaining media relationships. Be a creative thinker who can constantly develop new ideas to help drive the company's reputation forward. Delegates activities/projects among less experienced assistants to ensure timely results; monitors progress and provides guidance as appropriate. Serves as liaison with PR agencies, news agencies, event organizers, to ensure project goals are met and timetable/budget parameters are kept. Focuses direction and efforts on understanding what audience is to be reached and with what message. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Collaborative and team player, punctual attendance, and willing to be available 24-7 given the global nature of the company. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
