About This Job: The main purpose of this job is to create and maintain strategic external partnerships aligned with Commerce Business Credit Card Solutions.
Essential Functions:
• Focus on the initiative to help drive acquisition, retention & portfolio growth for the business card business line
• Create and maintain contact records by use of I360 to afford visibility into the partnership sales process, communications, and long-term sharing of revenue
• Partner with other sales teams focused on strategic partners and communicate updates of their efforts to the Business Card line of business manager
• Work as a liaison between Product Development, Provider Partners, and our Implementation team to support technical requirements. Engage in all facets of the contractual process including ongoing evaluation of revenue sharing workflow and external communication to partners
• Drive applications from both inside the bank, and through several third-party provider channels
• Follow up with card applicants on uncompleted applications, or applications where the applicant may be asked to supply additional information for approval
• Work closely with our Credit/Risk department to monitor application status to ensure the optimal card approval and spend vs. risk
• Responsible for the sale of our AP Lite product in both the bank footprint and beyond
• Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
• Ability to source own leads, set own appointments and follow-up
• Knowledge of sales process, operational functions, implementation process, business development, presentation skills, preparing customers’ requests for proposals, and strong customer contact
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel 20%-40% of the time
• Knowledge of the credit and risk organization as it relates to sales solutions
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 10+ years solution selling, commercial card, commercial lending, merchant bankcard, business card, sales cycle revenue, or sales experience in sales, marketing, or accounting required
• 10+ years negotiation experience, specifically in contracts and pricing required
• 10+ years business to business sales or support experience required
