Resource and Crisis Hub Specialist

Seeking a part-time Resource and Crisis Hub (RCH) Specialist to work 16 hours per week - Saturday/Sunday, 4 pm - 12 am.
Base pay: $18.50 per hour
 
About You
The ideal RCH Specialist is a strong, self-driven, dedicated individual who works on-site in the call center. RCH Specialists use a calm tone of voice, non-judgmental listening, and trauma-informed skills to welcome the caller into the continuum of care at Common Ground. This position will provide crisis intervention, information and referral, and follow-up calls in the Resource and Crisis Hub, via telephone. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of the Crisis Intervention Training. The RCH leadership team will work with the selected candidate to create a training schedule to ensure they have the appropriate skills to provide crisis intervention. The training may take place during the course of a week, or the training may be broken down to a series of Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
 
Day in the Life
  • Provide comprehensive crisis intervention and assist callers in finding their place in the crisis continuum via telephone
  • Maintain up to date records on all call reports
  • Consistently exercise superior customer service skills with team members, individuals being served, and with the community
  • Provide follow-up calls
  • Receive warm transfers from 988 for individuals who have had a crisis intervention but need more support from their local Oakland County crisis continuum
  • Provide assessment and dispatch for face-to-face mobile crisis responses
 
What you need to apply
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Crisis Intervention Experience
  • Satisfactory completion of Common Ground’s Crisis Intervention Training
  • Satisfactory completion of Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing the Caplan Model of Crisis Intervention
