Communications Intern (Student Wage)

The Contemplative Sciences Center is seeking a student intern to support our Communications department in raising awareness of and interest in the center’s programming and mission primarily among UVA students through websites, newsletters, and social media.

Hours / week 5-7

Schedule: Flexible, with set meeting around student class schedule

Pay : $12/ hr (undergrads)

Responsibilities will include:

• Creating social media posts for Instagram and Facebook.
• Submitting CSC activities to UVA newsletter
• Providing administrative assistance as needed.

Required skills/competencies

• Social Media Fluency (Facebook, Instagram)
• Ability to creatively use Instagram stories/reels to engage CSC audiences
• Fluency with Canva
• Strong writing and editing abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and to work independently and manage time well.
• Interest in and desire to learn more about CSC and its mission
  

Experience with the following preferred:

• Creating content for newsletters, blogs, apps, or social media platforms
