Job Description:
What You’ll Do
Provide event planning and support for the Shine Bright Community Center.
First point of contact, assist with community-based organizations in the planning and execution for all aspects of events including scheduling, securing contracts, resolving partner issues and partner communications throughout the event planning process.
Flexible working schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You’ll Do It
Serve as a lead logistics coordinator at Shine Bright Community Center and manage email and phone reservation inquiries and support CBOs with confirmation process by securing User Agreements, COI, catering license, vendor contacts, etc.
Serve as event day-of point of contact for in-person events weekdays, weeknights, and some weekends. Provides support as requested; includes, but is not limited to managing vendor deliveries printing materials, security check-in, etc. Assist with special projects such as employee engagement for volunteer activities as requested.
Actively manages and escalates risk of community partner issues within the community center organizational hierarchy.
Acquire a working knowledge of the online event registration system for the purposes of pulling reports and managing data entry and manage Master Event Timeline events in collaboration with business units such as Community Affairs, Facilities and Business Technology. Creates and maintains associated documents, spreadsheets, databases, meetings, special events, etc.
Acquire working knowledge and utilize internal communications channels to inspire employee participation and recognize Community Center events.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
H.S. Diploma or GED
3+ years professional work experience in non-profit special events, hotel events, conference centers or similar workplace environment
1+ years previous experience in an administrative/ office support role and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital platforms.
Bonus Points If You Have
Associates degree
Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $22.84 to $33.03. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.Benefits:
