Community Marketing Manager

Are you passionate about improving the health of our communities? We are currently searching for a Community Marketing Manager to partner with communities across Washington State to prevent oral disease. To achieve our vision - we have created the Tooth Fairy Experience which provides free education programs to young elementary aged children and their caregivers (Kindergarten – Second Grade) as they begin to get their adult teeth. The assets that are leveraged are both owned and partnered, to maximize impact and scale. Engaging with communities to invite their participation in driving this program is essential to its success. This role will help to manage The Tooth Fairy Experience participation in community and brand events including trade shows, conferences and festivals.

This role will also lead and own our public relations strategy and managing public relations-based campaigns, with our PR firm of record.

The pay range for this position varies between $95,160 - $135,420. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Delta Dental of Washington and Arcora Foundation intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

  • Community Partner: Lead and expand the Tooth Fairy program from schools, to districts and statewide programs.
  • Storyteller: Generates content from activities impacting our communities care, education, and access to oral health
  • Amplifier: Amplifies the community and business efforts via an ‘always-on’ approach through paid and earned media
  • Brand Steward: Manage current Sports Marketing relationships to amplify the reach of our initiatives, as well as create new partnerships with brand aligned partners
  • Campaign Builder: Partners with other marketing and communications teams to build integrated campaigns

Experience, skills, and education do you need to have to succeed in the position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, and ten years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a PR/Marketing/Communications/Community Health type role
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable and effective presenting skills
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented personality; enthusiastic, driven, focused and resilient
  • Program Management experience – ability to develop timelines, manage tasks, and adapt to changes in the environment when needed to accomplish set goals
  • Proven leadership managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Community-based experience, event management and / or social media management experience is a plus
  • Training in cultural humility/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/anti-racism and/or lived experience that brings the ability to engage and build trust with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and other People of Color) communities
  • WA State Driver’s License required
