Compass Government Solutions is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to provide services at the Miami VA Medical Center and surrounding outpatient clinics. In preparation to bid on the VA contract, we are seeking qualified candidates who are willing to be included in our proposal as an interested and skilled individual.

We are looking for the following specialized Registered Nurses:
• Medical-Surgical Unit (Med-Surg) (General RN)
• Emergency Department (ED) (Specialized RN)
• Critical Care- Intensive CARE Units (MICU/PCU/SICU) (Specialized RN)
• Mental Health (Specialized RN)
• Surgical - Operating Room (OR)/PACU (Specialized RN)
• Dialysis (Specialized RN)
• Long Term Care (LTC) (General RN)
• Ambulatory Care – Primary Care/PACT and Medical Specialty Clinics (Outpatient/CBOCs) (General RN)

Job Description

• RN to work in an acute care medical/surgical unit shall be responsible for patient assessments, and medication administration.
• IV therapy, interdisciplinary team coordination, telemetry monitoring.
• Admissions, discharges, internal and external transfers.
• Delegating to assistive personnel.
• Electronic medical record documentation, patient transport, and emergency response procedures.
• RN shall demonstrate competency for NGT insertion, chest tubes, trach care, and dressing changes.
• Monitor patient condition, report and treat applicable findings.
• IV insertions, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, twelve lead EKG.
• Foley Cather insertion and discontinuation.
• Doppler pressure, Orthostatic blood pressure, wound therapy, (wound vac), dressing changes.
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Blood transfusion, blood draw.
• Drug Administration (Bar Code Medication and Administration (BCMA)
• Bladder irrigation.
• Other procedures and clinical skills required to support the patient population.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work: As needed, rotating eight (8), ten (10), and twelve-hour (12) tours on rotating day, night, and evening shifts.
• Must have at least three (3) years of current experience in the department of choice
• Must have Full and current and unrestricted Registered Nurses License
• Must have current BLS and ACLS
