Primary Purpose:
Provides consulting to Business Units and Corporate Human Resources regarding compensation policy and pay practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consulting
  • Provides lead direction on major compensation projects and design of new compensation plans.
  • Conducts comprehensive and complex analyses of current compensation program components, tracks related cost and recommends changes based on strategic direction of company, may include labor negotiations.
  • Provides overall compensation consulting services for Business Units and Corporate Human Resources.
  • Conducts and or reviews EEO Salary Analysis for each Business Unit, reviews and makes recommendations to HR Advisors to implement changes as necessary.
  • Develops and or participates in salary surveys, collects data and analyzes results to monitor our market competitiveness in support of talent acquisition and retention of employees to aid in making informed pay decisions.
  • Makes recommendations and provides guidance regarding policies and procedures to ensure equitable and competitive pay delivery to employees.
  • Reviews and audits compensation policies and programs.
  • Develops, conducts and coordinates compensation training programs to provide management with tools to make informed pay decisions.
  • Incentive Compensation Planning
  • Provides consulting to business units and Corporate Center in the design, implementation, and audit of new incentive plans.
  • Leads team in communication and delivery of incentive pay, including quarterly updates on incentive plan goals (e.g., operational, financial).Provides support for HR clients through the incentive pay process.
  • Develops process for gathering employee data used to calculate payments.
Reviews overall Business Units and Corporate Center incentive pay budgets.
  • Salary Planning Program
  • Provides support for HR clients through the Salary Planning processes.
Leads team in communication of salary planning.
  • Ensures integrity of data used in determining salary increases.
  • Provides input to other HR organizations to ensure system capabilities are in place.
  • Reviews overall Business Unit and Corporate Center salary budgets within budgetary constraints.
  • Provides consulting to business units and Corporate Center in the design, implementation, and audit of salary planning administration.
  • Position Review
  • Provides guidance in the leveling of new positions to ensure appropriate salary recommendations, including internal equity considerations.
  • Provides total compensation analysis for key positions to attract, retain, and stay competitive in the market.
  • Evaluates exemption status to minimize wage and hour issues and company liability.
  • Supports clients in developing job descriptions used in talent acquisition/retention, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
May be filled at a higher level depending on experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent in related field. Required
Experience

  • 3+ Work experience in compensation design and analysis. Required
  • Executive compensation and benefits experience preferred.
  • Must reside in Southern California or Houston, TX, or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Advanced degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
