Overview:
The person in this position will be responsible for developing, recommending, and administering competitive and effective compensation and benefit programs for the company.
This position may be based in Arizona or California, with presence in the office 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.

Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.

Ensure the organizations and plans compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

Design and administer compensation programs including job evaluation, base salary administration and incentive compensation for US, Mexico, and international positions.
- 401k plan oversight, with emphasis on legal compliance
- Responsible for employee communications associated with compensation and benefit programs.
- Guidance to Rain Bird managers and employees on compensation questions and issues Participation with the HR staff in generalist activities such as policy development and legal compliance, training, recognition, and development of other HR programs
- Responsible for annual compensation planning and administration salary range and/or broad-band structure development, year-end performance management, merit increases market budget projections, bonus and STI processing.

Work collaboratively with managers to recommend solutions to resolve compensation and benefits related issues.

Provide guidance on proposed compensation requests (job levelling, banding, salary benchmarking) for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices.

Deliver training, guidance and promotes compensation programs and initiatives to managers.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years business experience in Human Resources or Finance
- Completed bachelor’s degree.
- Broad understanding of fiduciary responsibilities associated with 401k plans.
- Strong influencing and leadership skills.

Strong written, verbal, analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheets.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Specific knowledge of compensation and benefits concepts & laws.
- Broad understanding of fiduciary responsibilities associated with 401k plans.
- International compensation and benefits experience.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).

Master’s degree.
- PHR, CCP, CBP
Salary range for candidates based in California:$280,000 - $350,000
Salary range for candidates based in Colorado or New York City: $260,000 - $320,000
Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable.
