Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst. The selected individual will collect, organize and summarize competitive pricing and product data from a variety of sources in support of actuarial rate analyses and other product and pricing related projects.

This position is a 37.5 hour work week Monday through Friday between the core hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Research, organize and evaluate competitive pricing and product data from a variety of sources including premium comparison software, competitor rate filings, and other industry reports
• Provide ad-hoc competitive research summaries in support of business needs
• Maintain and improve existing competitive research processes and reports
• Develop new and relevant competitive research processes and reports
• Assist in managing external vendors and associated processes as required
• Provide information on the competitive landscape and new product offerings to the actuarial team and other departments as needed
• Participate in various internal committees as a competitive intelligence liaison
• Attend and participate in industry competitive intelligence seminars and forums

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
• Strong P&C industry knowledge or prior competitive intelligence analysis experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills including the ability to think critically and creatively
• Strong consultative, leadership, and project management skills
• Strong knowledge of company products
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external customers
