Junior Application Security Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Application Security Engineer to join our global application security team.This entry-level position is ideal for someone with foundational IT or DevOps experience who is passionate about application security and eager to grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment.You’ll play a key operational role in onboarding and supporting security tools, managing documentation, and helping developers embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Key Responsibilities:1. Onboarding Security Tooling:Assist in deploying and configuring application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).Support integration of security tools into CI/CD pipelines.Coordinate onboarding activities for new teams and ensure smooth tool adoption.2. Documentation and Training:Maintain clear, user-friendly documentation including onboarding guides, troubleshooting documents, FAQs, and SOPs.Create training materials and “how-to†guides to support developer understanding and self-service usage of tools.3. Developer Support:Act as the first point of contact for developers needing support with security tools.Provide hands-on guidance in interpreting scan results and resolving vulnerabilities.Help development teams embed secure coding practices in their workflows.4. Operational Support & Continuous Improvement:Participate in vulnerability management operations, supporting the triage and remediation of issues.Proactively identify common pain points and recommend improvements.Stay up to date on industry best practices in AppSec, DevSecOps, and tool automation.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements :1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT, DevOps, development, or related technical field (internships and academic experience also considered).Foundational knowledge of DevSecOps, security testing, or CI/CD environments.Interest in application security and a desire to grow in the field.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools such as:CheckmarxSonarQubeVeracodeExperience with GitLab, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.Exposure to secure coding practices and basic security concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10).Understanding of application security testing, pipelines, and automation.Good documentation and communication skills, with an ability to explain technical topics to non-technical users.Soft Skills:Self-starter with a willingness to learn and be trained.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.Ability to communicate and coordinate across global teams.Summary:This is a great opportunity for a junior-level candidate with technical aptitude and a passion for cybersecurity.You’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and practices while working in a fast-paced, supportive team environment.If you're looking to start or advance your career in application security—this role is for you.
