Overview:The Cone Health Administrative Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for postgraduate candidates to gain extensive exposure to various aspects of the Cone Health enterprise. The fellowship spans over two years and aims to equip fellows with vital knowledge and skills. Applications for the 2025-2027 fellowship are now open.Application Requirements:The Cone Health Administrative Fellowship program for the years 2025-2027 is available to individuals holding graduate degrees such as MHA, MBA, MPH, and MSHA, among others. The course and degree requirements must be met by May 2025. Prospective fellows who need to fulfill graduation requirements through a fellowship are encouraged to apply.All aspiring candidates must submit their application materials, including their resume and cover letter, through the career portal by September 6, 2024:• Current Resume• The official record of a student's academic progress through a graduate school program is the graduate school transcript• Academic Recommendation Letter• Growing up, I always knew I wanted to make a difference in the world. From volunteering at local charities to participating in social justice movements, I have always been passionate about creating a better future for allCurrent ResumeThe transcript issued by the graduate school for students is considered as the official graduate school transcriptA letter of recommendation is a written testimony from a professional or academic that provides insight into a person's qualities, character, and capabilities. The three letters of recommendation required for this application are an academic, professional, and other endorsement, which may be from a program director, former supervisor, or mentorIn responding to the statement questions, I have found that they have caused me to reflect on my personal experiences and aspirations in new and insightful waysPlease combine documents 2 - 4 into one file and upload under the "additional file" option on your applicant profile.The Administrative Fellowship Selection Committee should be the recipient of all letter of recommendation submissions.Prompted Personal Statement Questions: Please answer each of the questions below (in 300 words or less per response). What drives you to pursue a healthcare leadership career path?Once submissions have been received, candidates will be informed accordingly.Job Description:The intent of the Administrative Fellowship is to develop leaders who intend to pursue a career in healthcare administration. The role of an Administrative Fellow is to utilize and further develop the skills and knowledge acquired during graduate education and previous work experiences, within a formal health care setting. The fellowship is designed to provide the fellow with opportunities to:• Build a workable comprehension of how clinical and administrative functions in a healthcare system complement each other.• Enhance the progress of formulating a set of individual ethical principles and firm commitment towards the elevated values and benchmarks, which are crucial in the healthcare administration domain.• Enhance comprehension of the ideas and theories introduced in the instructional part of their curriculum.• Enhance your abilities in leading, decision-making, resolving issues, and managing tasks.• Gain an appreciation for the limitations and restrictions of the healthcare delivery system, and recognize the critical function of the administrator in optimizing the level of services accessible within the system.• Establish objectives to foster growth in your personal and occupational life.Responsibilities:Participate in various health system meetings, such as the Leadership Council, Executive Vice President, Board of Trustees, and associated Committee meetings, as well as any other meetings that are relevant to the fellow's and the organization's objectives.Work alongside leaders to pinpoint potential project opportunities across the healthcare network.Establishing constructive connections with different groups within the company is important for success in the workplace. It involves building trust, mutual understanding, and open communication.Witness the way administrative practices are being implemented in a community setting. Forge enduring connections with influential community stakeholders. Attend and actively participate in community events that have an impact on healthcare.Gain exposure to the key administrative and clinical departments of the organization by rotating through them. This will help you become familiar with the organization's operations.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required - Masters-prepared individuals who have completed the degree requirements or are candidates (on schedule to complete degree before June 1, 2025) in health care administration (MHA), business administration (MBA), public health (MPH), health services administration (MSHA), nursing (MSN), or related field of studyEXPERIENCE:Health care experience highly preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDValid driver's licesne required.
