Overview:The Manager Finance is responsible for supporting the Health System's overall financial stewardship. Partnering with System, Division, and Service Line leadership this position supports a variety of operational finance functions to include month end close, budgeting / financial forecasting, managerial finance, pro forma development, and other financial requests as needed. This position also supports executive financial leadership functions and special projects.Responsibilities:Serves as a finance leader to Hospital/Division/Service Line and supports the duties and responsibilities encompassing operational finance. This requires an understanding of the Hospital/Division/Service Line business model and the various financial systems.Provides day to day management of finance team as directed by executive financial leadership (monitor performance and support Senior / Financial analysts as needed), support training and development of financial analyst staff and fills in as needed in staff’s absence.Provide assistance to Hospital/Division/Service Line leaders to ensure they have a good understanding of the financials relative to their areas with a goal of improving financial performance.Participate in the coordination and oversight of the operating budget process, quarterly forecasting process, and the ongoing capital process at the Hospital/Division/Service Line level to ensure that budgets and capital expenditures for the Division are appropriate and accurate.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education Preferences: Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field.Responsibilities:• Manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, contract review, risk assessment evaluation and other accounting functions for the organization.• Leads and builds a strong team with the goal of creating value for finance and operational leaders across the organization.• Reviews the reports that summarize and forecast business activity and the organization's financial position by forecasting and tracking key assumptions.• Identifies annual target setting and long-range forecasts to ensure the organization is tracking appropriately and financially in budget.• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on modeling strategic initiatives and communication with necessary leaders across departments to make decisions and meet organization goals.• Evaluates current processes and policies, identifies best practices, develops plans to achieve goals, and implements improvements.• Oversees and evaluates the finance team members and broader department by providing training and guidance on professional development.• Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• Bachelor's DegreeEXPERIENCE:Required:• 5 yearsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired:CPA (Certified Public Accountant). Certification may be required based on job function.
