Overview:The Occupational Health Nurse plays a crucial part in creating and maintaining healthy workplaces for employees. They work under strict supervision to promote health and wellbeing, prevent illnesses, injuries and preserve safety from occupational and environmental risks.Responsibilities:The task involves analyzing the needs of employees to establish suitable techniques for preventing injuries and illnesses while boosting health through primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention approaches.Comprehensive documentation of assessments, treatments, outcomes, work and disability status, screenings, and education is necessary.My role involves supporting the completion of health checks and evaluations (such as post-offer physical examinations, wellness screenings, audiometric testing, vision screening, bloodborne pathogen exposure treatment, after-care, and drug screening) in order to detect and track any risks to employees' health.Implements health promotion measures through incentives and informative materials to foster employee wellness.Ensures that the organization receives timely and professional communication regarding pertinent health information, including injury reports, return-to-work status, and results from drug screens and medical tests.In order to comply with the guidelines and mandates from the department, company, and relevant laws, the organization focuses on preserving accurate and brief employee health records.Ensures the confidentiality of employee health information and keeps it secure from unauthorized access.Undertakes any additional tasks as needed or instructed.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• Associate Degree in NursingPreferred:• Bachelor's degree in NursingEXPERIENCE:• No prior experience requiredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired:Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provide
