Overview:The Patient Access Advocate II is a crucial component of our front office framework. This role permits you to develop your customer service and medical technology competencies while acting as the proficient go-between for patients and the clinic. This position's main responsibilities are centered on providing superior customer service, supervising insurance verification and referral management, and providing assistance for Patient Access Advocate I's orientation.Responsibilities:• Aids patients in registering by verifying their personal and insurance details to ensure payment processing and insurance billing are accurate. Moreover, assists new employees with registration workflows.• The accurate management of the cash drawer and the conscientious completion of daily deposit preparations are essential responsibilities inherent in this position. Comprehension of the practice close processes is crucial to the role.• Appropriately manages the scheduling of both new and established patients, while keeping an eye on facility resources and workflow constraints.• Obtains required precertification, manages referrals, and prompts the pre-cert coordinator for follow-up measures. Creates a positive guest experience by adhering to the Steps of Service criteria. Resolves tense situations effectively and professionally.• Provides prompt delivery of new patient information after orientation to assist in their seamless integration into the healthcare system.• Before the appointment, ensure that new patients receive important documents, and get in touch with them to confirm the scheduled time. Further, strictly abide by the policy on missed appointments, and maintain accurate documentation of all non-attendance incidents.Qualifications:Whether you achieved your High School Diploma or its equivalent through traditional schooling, online learning, or adult education classes, the accomplishment can positively impact your personal and professional life.An accomplished graduate of a licensed medical office training course.Experience:One year of experience in clerical work, specifically within medical settings, as well as previous employment providing customer service within the healthcare field.Skilled in utilizing the EPIC Cadence/Prelude system to manage patient schedules and optimize clinic flowLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/LISTING:REQUIREDComments
